"Four Quadrant Family Feature"?

What does 'four quadrant family feature' mean? Does this include animation?

Bill Costantini

Hi Kimberly,

"Four Quadrants" refers to the four most basic demographic groupings: 1 - Male, under 25; 2 - Female, under 25; 3 - Male, over 25; 4. Female, over 25. So a "Four Quadrant" film would theoretically have the potential to appeal to people in all four of those groups.

It would include animation, too.

Best fortunes in your creative endeavors, Kimberly!

Christopher Phillips

Yes. That would include things like Toy Story or other major summer type animation movies like the Incredibles, The Lion King, Frozen, Minions, etc.

This is it in a nutshell. The age ranges will change as society changes. It seems to be 25 as a cut off at the moment.
