After I sent my edited synopsis to a befriended film financier and producer, Peter Assing in L.A., I received wonderful praise for my story and its synopsis, written by Christina Patjens aka Lucie de Jong.
"You have some world class ideas that will contribute to the world!"- Peter Assing
I am bursting with joy! We relate to others via story. Your story might contain some human element with which another person could relate – offering a solution and/or taking them on their own journey.
My book, "The Syrian Jewelry Box", and its adapted script takes place in Saudi Arabia during the seventies where I grew up with my family as a young expat for seven years. I believe what makes my story unique is that, initially, it is set during tumultuous periods from post-war Germany to political turmoil in the sixties and seventies. Secondly, it spans fifty years with various time jumps on different continents.
I hope that my story encourages you to explore the unique value of our inherent and interesting cultures; helping you to discover how that plays such a unique role in who you are. As we embrace and enjoy these cultures, we breakthrough and move closer to one another.
My goal is that "some world class ideas" reinforce what my parents taught me: "The beauty of life comes from supporting one another and embracing our inherent and interesting cultures."
