just finished my feature script "THE CALL" -- excited to connect

Hey everyone!

I’m Roberto, a screenwriter, actor and director from Toronto. I just completed the feature script and pitch deck for my film THE CALL — a character-driven spiritual drama with psychological thriller elements.

This project came out of a real personal journey, and finishing it has been one of the most meaningful milestones for me as a creative. Right now I’m immersing myself in the Stage 32 community, refining my materials, and learning from the incredible writers and filmmakers here.

Would love to connect with writers across all genres -- drama, thriller, comedy and character--driven stories -- especially those who enjoy exploring emotional depth or personal transformation in their work.

What are you all currently working on?

Maurice Vaughan

The Call sounds interesting from the title and short description, Roberto Micheletti. What's it about?

I'm rewriting a Horror Action feature script, outlining a Fantasy Action feature script, and working on other projects here and there.

Vincent Turner

sequels at this point, writing and producing comes with more work than you envision...

Roberto Micheletti

Thanks Maurice Vaughan, appreciate that!

THE CALL follows Elijah James, a young actor whose life collapses just as he starts stepping into his purpose. Every setback pushes him deeper into a psychological and spiritual fight against the version of himself built to break him.

As he chooses belief over fear, the resistance he faces actually becomes the catalyst for his breakthrough.

It’s a character-driven drama with psychological thriller elements, based on a real personal journey.

What’s been the most fun or most challenging part of rewriting your Horror Action script?

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Roberto Micheletti. The Call sounds incredible! I'm looking forward to watching it!

The most challenging part of rewriting my Horror Action script is figuring out some things since the story world has so many moving parts. I didn't realize these things when I outlined and wrote the script. But the script is getting better and better.

Roberto Micheletti it’s good to hear you so excited about finishing the script and pitch deck for THE CALL - refining the materials and learning from the community here is exactly what I’m doing as well - look forward to hearing more about your feature and best of luck with pitching it

Roberto Micheletti

Michael Thorn Thanks so much — really appreciate that! THE CALL has been a huge personal milestone for me, so hearing your encouragement means a lot.

I’d love to hear more about what you’re refining in your projects as well. What part of the rewriting or polishing stage do you usually find most challenging or rewarding?

Always great connecting with writers who are in the same phase of the journey

Hello, congratulations on completing your work and good luck with your pitching.

I’m working on a sci-fi screenplay called The Silent PFC War.

Juliana Philippi

Roberto Micheletti Welcome Roberto!!! Congrats on reaching this milestone. Stage 32 is an awesome, professional and very valuable platform, and work place. I'm currently off my first Holiday screenplay, and now on my new project, a reverse rom-com, inspired by a real event I lived while on a retreat in the North of Spain.

congrats and welcome!

would love to read the script or an excerpt thereof…

happy to swap if you’re interested—I’ve a short film submitted for competition called A HYPOTHETICAL CAT.

Comps would be, superficially LOCKE and THE GUILTY (my story’s about a woman on the phone while racing to find her boyfriend who may have tried to kill himself) but as the title (Schrödinger reference), its theme revolves around a weird quantum concept, but without any sci-fi elements (so the nearest comps i could think of are ARRIVAL—but without the aliens—and ETERNAL SUNSHINE—but without the mind wipe tech).

peace and love…

It's an amazing feeling to get to The End. Celebrate it, put it aside until the New Year, then edit with fresh eyes. Every revision tightens the story. Congratulations!

Congrats Roberto Micheletti . I'm also developing a psychological thriller about domestic violence.

Roberto Micheletti

Thank you so much, Juliana Philippi

Stage 32 already feels like the right space — the energy here is unreal.

Your rom-com project sounds really sweet and grounded. Would love to check out an excerpt sometime, and I’m always open to swapping pages down the line.

Roberto Micheletti

Thanks so much, Marie Hatten

A psychological thriller about domestic violence sounds powerful — those stories hit deep when handled thoughtfully.

Wishing you strength and clarity as you develop it, and excited to connect more here.

Roberto Micheletti

Thanks so much, @james -- really appreciate the welcome

Your logline and comps for A Hypothetical Cat sound wild in the best way. I love grounded emotional tension with a big conceptual twist, so that’s right up my alley.

I’d be open to swapping excerpts — even just first 5–10 pages — once I finish tightening a few things on my end. Always great connecting with writers who push form and theme like that

Marie Hatten

Thanks Roberto Micheletti appreciate that.
