This was a composition assignment in which we had to take some old material and make a new composition out of it. I decided to take samples from a rap a capella from Kool G Rap's "Ill Street Blues," a bargain bin polka record called "Real Hot Polkas," a Wes Montgomery recording of "Nica's Dream," by Horace Silver, and the drum loop from "This Too Shall Pass," by OK Go.
