“Letters In The Kitchen Light” is an emotional indie-pop ballad about the silence left behind after goodbye. Built around late-night imagery, warm kitchen lights, memories, and unfinished conversations, the song explores how some people never fully leave us even after they’re gone. FADE IN SAN SIRO STADIUM – MILAN – EVENING The massive stadium shouting. Fans chant loudly. Inside the pitch, a young player, LEON BASSEY (17), nervous and unkept, wears the jersey of AC Milan. The ball is passed to him in front of goal. COMMENTATOR (V.O.) Leon Bassey this is his chance Leon shoots and MISSES badly. The crowd erupts in BOOS. LOCKER ROOM – NIGHT Leon sits alone. His teammates whisper. TEAMMATE 1 He cost us the match. TEAMMATE 2 He doesn’t belong here. The coach walks in coldly. COACH Leon… pack your things. The club has released you. Leon’s eyes fill with tears. MILAN STREETS – NIGHT Leon walks through the streets. Fans shout insults. FAN (O.S.) Go back home! You’re useless! Leon lowers his head, broken. BUS STATION – NIGHT Leon boards an old bus heading toward Paris. He sits by the window, staring into darkness. MOUNTAIN ROAD – NIGHT The bus stops briefly near a lonely mountain. Leon steps off, exhausted. He walks into the hills and lies down to sleep under the stars. MOUNTAIN – LATER THAT NIGHT Leon shifts in his sleep. His hand accidentally pricks on a sharp ancient object. A drop of blood falls onto an old sealed stone symbol. The ground trembles. Dark smoke rises… forming a terrifying DEMON. Leon wakes in fear. DEMON SCENE DEMON You have awakened me… Make one wish… and it shall be granted. Leon trembles, then gathers courage. LEON I… I want to become the God of Football. The demon smiles darkly. DEMON It is done. But remember… one day… I will return for something. Leon hesitates… then nods. LEON I accept. The demon disappears in a flash of fire. MONTAGE – TRANSFORMATION — Leon training alone — Ball control becoming magical — Speed increasing — Shooting with unbelievable accuracy PSG TRAINING GROUND – DAY Leon stands in front of the gate of Paris Saint-Germain. Coaches watch him try out. He dribbles past defenders like they’re statues. He scores from impossible angles. Everyone is stunned. PSG STADIUM – MATCH DAY Crowd roaring. Leon now wears PSG jersey. He receives the ball at midfield. He dribbles past FIVE players. Shoots. GOAL. The stadium explodes. STANDS – SAME TIME The coach’s daughter, AMELIE (17), watches in admiration. Their eyes meet. A silent love connection begins. PARIS CITY STREET – EVENING Leon and Amelie walk together laughing. AMELIE You play like… something beyond human. Leon smiles quietly. LEON Maybe I just found my purpose. They hold hands. SMALL HOUSE – ANOTHER COUNTRY – NIGHT Leon’s former teammate watches him on TV. COMMENTATOR (TV) Leon Bassey… the greatest player the world has ever seen! The teammate shakes his head in disbelief. FORMER TEAMMATE That can’t be the same Leon. PSG STADIUM – NIGHT Leon stands alone in the center of the pitch after a match. Suddenly… The lights flicker. Dark wind blows. The DEMON’S VOICE echoes. DEMON (V.O.) Remember our deal… I have come to claim… what is mine. Leon’s face turns serious. FADE OUT TEXT ON SCREEN "GREATNESS HAS A PRICE."
