The life story of a pioneer pilot Joe Donnellan
SYNOPSIS:
This is a book adaptation of the life of Joe Donnellan who was an aviation pioneer. Friends with Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart along with her little sister Muriel. Joe is raised on the family farm in Michigan and enlists in the Canadian Royal Air Force at (16). He becomes an excellent pilot and is promoted to Captain and flight instructor. There he meets Amelia and Muriel. He puts on a show for the CRAF that sets the stage for Amelia's faction for flying. After the war Joe buys an airplane and gets into Barnstorming. He gives a young man a ride that later turns out to become his friend Charles Lindbergh. They join up with the first air mail service where Joe has many flying experiences. Later Joe tries to open up an airline services to South America only to discover there isn't any place to land in the dense jungles. Sadly Joe's life is cut short when a student freezes at the stick during a lesson and they crash into the ground at the airport.
