LOGLINE:

During The Pacific Campaign, a young Marine, assigned to the first war dog platoon, relies on his training and the bond with his donated canine, the heroic Duke, to survive against their formidable enemy; the Japanese.

SYNOPSIS:

Walking Point is based on historical events. For the first time in American history, canines were trained and used in battle. Set in the 1940’s, this screenplay focuses on the bond between a group of donated dogs and their handlers, specifically a Doberman named Duke and youthful Private Markle. It portrays their travel by train from North Carolina to San Diego and eventually across the Pacific and into battle. Their travels to Guam lead to love, loss, and victory.
