A distraught woman suffering from chronic nightmares takes an experimental drug with surprising results; her new dreams show glimpses of her future - Semi finalist in Stage32 / Happy Writers 2015 New Blood contest
SYNOPSIS:
Sarah’s trip with her best friend turns tragic when their car runs off the road killing her friend and leaving Sarah broken and battered. Haunted by nightmares of the accident she is coerced into taking an untested experimental drug “Codex,” offered by Roman, an unscrupulous executive for a large drug company. The drug works wonders; overnight her nightmares disappear. However she soon discovers that now her dreams show glimpses into her future.
Initially the dream-like visions reveal simple everyday things seemingly like Deja vu. When Roman is told he secretly gets excited by the marketing possibilities. Eventually Sarah’s vision-dreams escalate and turn dark and menacing. Sarah and her fiancé Tyler try to change the outcome of the dreams only to fail every time. Roman tricks Sarah into staying overnight for testing and she soon discovers that she’s not only become a mere lab rat but a prisoner as well. Sarah is his golden goose and Roman’s not about to let her get away. She stops taking Codex but her nightmares comeback worst then before. Sarah struggles to escape while on the outside Tyler is confounded with legal red tape and unhelpful police.
Finally Sarah manages to escape and with Roman’s thugs hot on her heals she calls Tyler. Reunited by their drive to expose Roman Sarah and Tyler head off to meet a sympathetic FDA investigator. On the way Sarah realizes to her horror that her dream of Tyler’s death is unfolding in front of her eyes. She’s never been unable to prevent her dreams from happening but she must try one last time to save Tyler. However no matter what they do change things, fate pushes them back on that deadly course. In the end Sarah puts everything on the line and seizes a split second opportunity to save the man she loves from a horrible death.
Sarah succeeds and they both survive the near fatal car crash and expose Roman. Also Sarah finds that her nightmares have gone away even without taking Codex.

I just did a pretty major rewrite and the new synopsis is posted. Enjoy!
After reading that, I found it really interesting. Haunted by the accident... yes as you would be. But, what if, she had thought of her nightmares as nightmares... but were not just nightmares. She had the ability to REMOTE VIEW. And when she told Roman of her dreams... he seized upon the opportunity, knowing... the potential in that drug given... She has had psychic abilities all along without realizing it. Henceforth.... the dreams change and become even more prominent due to the experimental drug given. Just a thought to toss in.
How about starting with her in a hypnotherapist chair.... being transgressed. Then she awakens and realizes, she was dreaming, re-enacting her visit with the hypnotherapist.
If I am overstepping my mark here.... please feel free to tell me to waddle along. Love your concept....
Janet thanks for all the ideas. Right now I'm toying with the idea that the accident "woke up" a part of her brain / psychic ability and the drug either triggers the ability or doesn't really do anything, at all which is why she's kidnapped because they can't figure out why it's doing what it's doing . I have an accident at the end and am I thinking that will "Shut off" her ability again.
