RAINA
By Lori Meyer

GENRE: Science Fiction
LOGLINE: A young woman's charmed life derails, after she consents to upload the contents of her brain into a look-alike robot, forcing her to confront the dark side of herself.

SYNOPSIS:

Yale Commencement Progression, 2040. Among the enthusiastic graduates is stunning and vivacious Sophia DeLeo. Unbeknownst to her, she is being watched and photographed by the handsome and mysterious Dr. Conrad Roberts. They are later introduced, and embark on a whirlwind romance. Sophia's life begins to disintegrate after she wanders into Conrad's laboratory and discovers a robotic double of herself. Conrad convinces her, for the benefit of mankind, to allow him to upload the contents of her brain into the "hubot" that is named Raina. The unimaginable becomes reality. Sophia must suddenly share her world with a realistic double, who carries her memories and ideas. An instant twin, with her personality traits, who is able to "sense" all of her emotions, minus any filter that would normally control those feelings. Sophia's life becomes a living hell as Raina wreaks havoc in every possible way. How does she deal with "the other woman" when that woman just happens to be herself?

Thanks, Lisa.

Lori - this is very intriguing. What's Conrad really up to? Why does Sophia consent to his odd proposition? The more I chew on this, the more questions I have - and they all make me curious to watch this and see how things play out. Best of luck with this - this is a movie I'd like to watch.
