A group of international astronauts sent to survey the moon Europa end up crashing on Mars instead- where pyramids, strange radio signals, and the disappearance of crew members are only part of the mysteries of the planet.
TV Pilot - 4 Acts, 48 minutes
SYNOPSIS:
SUMMARY
Best described as ‘Lost’ meets ‘X-files’ Red is a character driven story with mysteries that shouldn’t exist on the planet, complicated by the difficulties of surviving in the hostile environment.
The series is about a group of international astronauts who, after crashing on Mars, must work together to survive the harsh terrain and a series of mysterious, life-threatening encounters. In the pilot ‘Breathe’, an unproven astronaut named Jason awakens to find his commander dead, leaving him in charge of the crash’s remaining survivors. First, Jason orders his team to salvage the surrounding wreckage so they can patch their broken communications system and activate the orbiter to drop a rescue vehicle. But then a massive sandstorm destroys their equipment and finds one of their colleagues separated. To make matters worse, their defunct orbiter falls from the sky. Indeed, all hope of survival appears to be lost … that is, until Jason uncovers evidence of an abandoned space station 30 kilometers away. Now, with no assurance the station is even sustainable and just 72 hours of oxygen left, Jason must lead his crew to it … or they will all perish.
