Expand commentHI, I submitted Judgment Tree, a story inspired by true events from the Civil War. Did you know that a rich man could pay another man to become his substitute to fight in the Civil War? That Law, practiced by both North and South, drove men to do desperate things and is the basis for Judgment Tree. Logline: When a young soldier is arrested for desertion to see his dying wife, a war-torn colonel offers his own life as a substitute to save the boy from the hangman's noose.
