Wishing everyone the most creative year ever in 2021! I am starting off the year working with a mentor to fine tune one of my scripts, writing a book on autism resources for parents, and, with any luck, shooting my first short. Always happy to connect!

Welcome! Mentors make the difference. Parents will appreciate your resources. There was a report on how intelligent autistic employees are on 60 Minutes. You may want to add employers to your demographic target market.

Thanks, James! My goal is to help parents as soon as their child receives a diagnosis so they don't have to search for resources on their own when they're already dealing with so much. Also, autism is actually a disorder, not a disease. :)
Happy Holidays, Steve! Looking forward to reading some of your work!!

Hi Steffany- I wrote this script of "Supergirl"- it's a back story on how Kara Danvers goes to journalism school at Pittsburgh University with me. Actually I did attend University of Pittsburgh as a journalism student and I'm an alumnus from their with English Writing. Anyway- Pittsburgh U let's myself be Kara Danvers guide and friendly companion for she just arrived in Pittsburgh from her hometown in Smallville. Kara's super nervous and I play myself as I struggle with needs as Supergirl and Kara help Eddie- we all help each other and confront Lex. It's s fun story. I wrote it and act as myself- I based the story on what an actual journalism class is and I interview Supergirl using journalism skills. Let me know if you'd like to do a zoom read in early January 2021. Thanks- Ed Skirtich

Hi D, thanks for the encouragement! My ultimate goal is to create the standard for pediatric practices to have an "Autism Resource Coordinator" so that parents get a live, caring person to help them navigate what comes next after a diagnosis, as opposed to a piece of paper and "good luck". Happy Holidays to you and yours!

"Break A Leg!" with everything you are doing in 2021 and the future beyond..
I will go straight to the point no need to waste time. I am looking for someone I can hire and even be a co-writer by inserting my script into a final draft software. I am sure you're wondering why I can't do that myself, but unfortunately, I have been studying with my schooling. I seek someone who can do the editing, dialogue and format it in motion picture format. The details in partnering up with me consist of being compensated. You will automatically be my co-writer, meaning you will get credits. If the script is picked up by a production company or sold, I will make sure there is a contract in place stating you're my writing partner in the project. Any funds released on my behalf have your attorney and my attorney draw up a contract that we are both paid equally. If this interests you, please respond as I have so many written scripts, but sadly they were written on paper.
Love it, Glenn!!

A good friend of mine on the spectrum has just discovered Virtual 3D worlds. The goggles thing. He's pretty much a stay-at-home-alone guy, but it has allowed him to experience the world outside, places he couldn't get to any other way. He's flown through his old childhood neighborhood, cruised through the streets of Moscow, etc. all via Google Earth. Wonder if this tech can be of help to others on the spectrum? There might be a market for screenwriters to write 3D experiences.

That is a fantastic idea, Eric!
Thank you, Lynn. That's wonderful you are able to connect with your grandson that way :)
I love Eric's idea about film makers designing projects for special needs individuals. As an educator who has worked with several children on the autistic spectrum, I have seen what an impact visual medium has. Of course, my question is how do we help them unlock the social skill that autistic individuals often struggle with? Although they find it challenging to communicate and reach out, at the same time the autistic children I've worked with want very much to make friends and be accepted as part of a group. It can be very lonely for them.
This friend I mentioned was a Paralympic athlete in his younger days, works out 6 hrs. a day as his routine. For a social activity, he discovered rock wall climbing through BORP in the Bay Area, and subsequently joined a climbing gym in the Presidio. LOVES it. He's meeting people in person, not just connections through his computer. But I know building many lasting friendships is challenging for him.
As the stepparent of a teen with autism, I’d love to read a book like the one you’re writing!
