This might be a bit of an out-there query, but I’m trying it anyway: are there any fellow writers who love including anthropomorphism i.e. walking talking animals, in their scripts? If so, why? What makes you come back to using that theme / plot device, and why does it resonate with you? Genuinely intrigued to hear from you :)

I'm doing this right now (in a kind of Animal Farm manner). I find little encouragement for the effort. The expense of CGI is at issue.
