Welcome, Matthew Anthony Williams. Glad you joined the community. We write the same genres, but I haven't written Afro-futurism. I can see myself writing it though. How's your experience at AAU been?

Welcome! I went to AAU back in the mid 2000s for cinematography. Learned a lot there. How is AAU now?

Thank you Richard, Maurice and Kevin for the warm welcome! AAU has been challenging, but I love it. I've learned so much about scriptwriting in such a short amount of time.

I'm a self-taught screenwriter and I didn't have a platform like Stage 32 when I started scriptwriting, so it took me a long time to learn about writing scripts. A lot of trying, failing, trying. :)

Stage32 seems like an amazing resource. Can’t wait to make connections and collaborate with other creatives. Maurice, it’s been hard networking, as I’m an online student, so I’m excited to see what Stage 32 has to offer.

Stage 32 makes it easy to network online, Matthew. I do 100% of my networking on the internet. My biggest tip is to treat networking like building relationships. Get to know people in the industry, support their projects, check in on them, etc. Over time, those relationships will turn into opportunities.

Sam, I enrolled for the free month subscription for The Writers Room. I was looking around the resources. I haven't watched any of the online webcast yet, but I plan to watch some this week.
