Thought I'd come visit everyone, hope all is well with y'all considering what's going on in the world of Strikeville.. #SOLIDARITY In my line of work, I rep film, tv, music industry clients, but also other industries such as sports, tech, cbd, wine, spirits and the luxury sectors. Aside from Public Relations, where I spend days, hours either on the phone or sending out pitches to writers focusing on securing media placements, I can also help you with the creation and design of a press kit, press release writing and distribution, and or a landing page if you need one. If this sounds like something you need, and have a budget, let's chat.
Feel free to check out my website at (my IMDb and other links are on the site too)

Great to meet you, Donna! Oh, man, Strikesville is right. The question I have is - when are we going to ask audiences to stop their subscriptions in order for the studios to feel the sting now? I think they won’t risk audiences leaving lest they never return to the service and cost everyone an income. BUT if the strike inspires a boycott, it would definitely ensure the studios know: audiences care about the creators of their material.

Donna Segura, nice resume Donna. Keep the faith that this strike will be productive and short!

I think a boycott would help get the AMPTP back to the negotiating table, Kay. I've seen people canceling their streaming memberships and calling others to. I canceled my memberships. Matthew Gross made a post about it (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Cancel-Your-Subscriptions).

@Maurice Vaughan and @Karen "Kay" Ross - "I think that movie is worth more than I paid for it, I will send the producers some more money" - said no audience member, ever. They are not part of the industry, and the idea that they do or even should care in the least about our industry struggles is, frankly in my view, some kind of misapplied, muddled Marxist concept that assumes regular people have some ownership in our industry. They do not. We SELL to them, and the recent experience of Budweiser, Target & Disney, in a different context, illustrates the dangers of thinking anyone in your market cares what you or your employees think. They want their product and they want it for free if possible. All of it and they don't care that you cannot pay your rent because of the stupid economic paradigm that the studios and unions have allowed to develop. They aren't in this with us - they want their entertainment for FREE. Subscription services are essentially free already, which is why not even mega-corporations have ever made money on them, and why the independent sector is being offered literal pennies per view. Audience needs to get trained to pay us enough to make more movies and pay our cast & crew properly. They have been trained not to, and that has to stop.

Maurice Vaughan When a publicists pitches their clients to a host of editorials (ie: online/print magazines, newspapers) and the clients successfully secure an article in xyz editorial, that's media placements

@KarenKRoss It's very important to educate folks outside of our industry in order to get a true understanding of the WHY the strikes are taking place, and how it's affecting the industry, regardless if one is union or not. There are many I know personally (seasoned actors, producers, writers etc) who are sharing as much as they can, as often as possible the WHY it's imperative to support these strikes, but more importantly why AMTPT are enabling corporate greed.... yes, their needs to be a boycott as this will get right where the coffers hurt... in their mega-million dollar pockets.

Ok, thanks for explaining, Donna Segura.
You're right ("It's very important to educate folks outside of our industry in order to get a true understanding of the WHY the strikes are taking place, and how it's affecting the industry, regardless if one is union or not"). That's why I've been telling people outside the industry about the strikes and why the unions are on strike. When people outside the industry learn about what's going on, they're stunned.
