Screenwriting : Starting my Script by John Kennedy

Starting my Script

The adventure begins!

Finally opened a new document for my children’s television series “Bedroom in Space” (working title)

My brother, Eric used to entertain his little annoying brother at bedtime with tales of space travel in our bedroom in which we used to save our sisters from various planets and monsters.

I’ve had in my head ever since the mid 1970’s and I’ve adapted it into a fantastical adventure for children to enjoy and hopefully be scared, inspired and entertained.

Cassie, Troy and Mae are newly adopted siblings who by a fluke or by design find themselves space bound one starry night. Luckily they meet Conductor 71 who befriends them while serving his bus route on the fringes of Off World (alternative title), a human theme park owned and run by the malevolent Oblexia Blik.

Now that’s where I’ll end the teaser and I’ll post more soon!

As you all know this is a big day as it is for all who write and one that’s been what feels like a lifetime in coming and I’m really, really excited.

Please tell me what you think in the comments.

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, John Kennedy. "Please tell me what you think in the comments." What are you looking for? Feedback on your concept? If so, could you post a logline so we can know more about your series?

John Kennedy

Hi Maurice, I'm working on the longline and will post it soon... I'll message you. The second draft is moving forward plus the concept... its pretty much set and again I'll message you, can I send a network request? John

Maurice Vaughan

Ok, John Kennedy. If you post your logline in the Screenwriting Lounge for feedback, I'll see it. If you wanna message me your logline, that's fine too. You're already in my network.

John Kennedy

That all sounds ideal. See and hear from each other soon.

Mark Deuce

Looks interesting John Kennedy but a logline is important as Maurice Vaughan said and best of luck with your amazing project.
