Hi All! I joined about a month ago and really appreciate all that Stage32 has to offer. Frankly I cant believe the enormity of this platform. And I'm so glad I dont have to drive to LA to take pitch meetings LOL. After 35 years AWAY from the business, (I started at Raleigh Studios as a grip/electrician and also worked on about 40 music videos-many of them rap-as M/Up) Now, I've come back swinging. I live in SoCal, have an abundant life with a lot of interests, I help many people (mentor, educate, therapize) am very grateful and have done it all from hard work, tenacity, and a lot of laughs.

Love this post, Susan Kelejian. "Now, I've come back swinging" - That put a huge smile on my face. Only way to go after it, standing in the middle of the ring throwing punches.
Excited to follow you on your journey and thrilled to have you in the community.

I live in NC, and it's great that I can pitch on here without having to fly to LA, Susan Kelejian. What script(s) are you working on?

Maurice Vaughan my scripts: Some in my loglines here Im actively pitching and taking meetings (and reworking at times) and two not yet listed here (one action/comedy and one action Thriller)! I'm having so much fun
Glad you're having fun, Susan Kelejian. It's easier to write and pitch when I'm having fun. I'm not sure if I've written an Action/Comedy before, but I want to. Maybe something like Rush Hour. The Rush Hour movie series is so funny and entertaining.

Richard "RB" Botto Ok so I read somewhere not to send you private emails as you get hundreds so Im saying it here...first of all a huge THANK YOU to you for having the energy, spirit, where-with-all to want to start stage32. "Youre a better man than me, Gunga Din." And heres a question: I have met a lot of people who are in charge of things (myself included) that get overlooked for other projects because of assumptions. "He's too busy or" he must know everyone" etc. Do you actively look to be hired as an actor, a writer, producer for yourself? Does your artistic life fall to the wayside because youre handing everything here? Or do you have a good balance? Obviously you don't have to publicly answer this and I'm asking since it's been my observational and experience that people "in charge" can be sometimes overlooked. I'm curious and also believe in reciprocity.

Maurice Vaughan well, it's all new to me (sort of) I mean Ive written 25 stage plays but this is a different animal. Just pitched Bad Axx this morning which is listed here (female driven action comedy) and also taking a meeting early next week about it (possible talent to be attached). Yes, I like Rush Hour. My favorite style is farce/physical comedy/Mel Brooks esque films with pithy and punny dialogue (Young Frankenstein et al) as well as physicality
I hope you get a script request from the pitch and you get talent attached meeting, Susan Kelejian! My favorite Mel Brooks movie is either Robin Hood: Men in Tights or Spaceballs. I haven't seen his other movies yet. I know, I'm behind. Haha Do you have a favorite?

Great to have you here Susan! Fun fact, Stage 32's first offices were at the Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach. I just read on your bio that BELIEF was a stage play, that must be a really cool experience for you!

Amanda Toney oh how cool! I was at the Hwd location... yes, Belief is/was a stage play with TV actor Jodie Sweetin as lead. Totally unexpected turn of events to be schmoozing again

Great questions, Susan Kelejian, and I truly appreciate the interest. First, I'm always in my DM's and "out there", so certainly approachable at all times! Second, running this platform is more than a full time job, so it can pull me away from my creative endeavors from time to time. But I'm a big believer in no excuses, so I do what I can, when I can and don't beat myself up over anything. And yes, I always am actively looking to be hired as an actor, writer, producer, etc.
