Introduce Yourself : Author & Screenwriter. by Thom Reese

Thom Reese

Author & Screenwriter.

Hi, everyone! I was very involved with Stage 32 a few years ago, and then life took some interesting turns. I've recently refocused on writing screenplays and so I'M BAAAACK. I have four completed screenplays and several outlines ready to be developed. I'm also the author of twelve traditionally published novels. I wrote, directed, and co-produced the weekly audio drama radio program 21st Century Audio Theatre. I studied improvisation and comedy writing at The Second City. As well, I've worked in television market research for over twenty years.

Welcome back, Thom Reese! Was it fun studying improv?

Thom Reese

Maurice, yes it was very fun studying improv. I had some great instructors, gained some skills, and made a lot of friends.

Thom Reese

Jack Bosma, I'm not free to talk now, but can reach out later,

Was it like the show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Thom Reese?

Thom Reese

Maurice, I trained in improve at The Second City. Both Saturday Night Live and Whose Line is it Anyway were birthed out of The Second City. So, yes-ish to it being like Whose Line. But there are other aspects of improv that are taught as well. Whose Line sticks to short-form inprov for their show's format.

Welcome back Thomas and congrats on your writing.

That's cool, Thom Reese. I've seen some Saturday Night Live episodes. That show is hilarious! Whose Line Is It Anyway? is too!
