I haven't seen Alien Romulus yet, but it's my most anticipated movie of the year, Florin Şumălan. Fede Álvarez is one of my favorite directors and screenwriters, and Cailee Spaeny is one of my favorite actresses.

I just saw it, was really amazing, and very different than the others Florin Şumălan & Maurice Vaughan

Maurice Vaughan , I didn't know about Fede Álvarez before, I didn't see his movies, but after watching "Alien Romulus" yesterday ("Alien" is one my favorite movie franchises), I think Fede Álvarez is on my list of directors which movies I am interested to see (as I thought about Denis Villeneuve after watching "Blade Runner 2049" and "Dune"). I liked Cailee Spaeny in "Alien".
Mark Deuce , I think I can say too it was really amazing and I think it is a little different, it has details that we didn't see in the other parts, but it is also like the other; if I use the right words: it's in accordance with the other. I liked also that the director made the technology - ships (interior), computers, semiotic icons - symbols and other stuff be like in the first movie. I think he made those like they would connect the timeline between the first two movies. I had the impression that the Corbelan IV ship has something from the design of the Auriga ship in "Alien Resurrection" (maybe I am wrong); I also think it has something from the Nostromo.

Maurice Vaughan , I planned to watch "Civil War" but then I abandoned the idea. Perhaps I will watch some time this movie too.

Dan MaxXx , strange things.
When I first saw your comment, I was tempted to give you a bad, stupid comment; like I took it personally, understanding that you throw with mud at the movie I liked. Excuse me.
I didn't want to answer then at that impulse, I thought it would be better to let it a while, because maybe I am understanding this wrong.
I think I was bored too or fell asleep at some movies or thought similar things about movies that other people liked. Sometimes maybe I wasn't like in the mood of watching those movies or when I saw those movies the second time, I changed my opinion; or I maybe I kept my first opinion.
Anyway, at first watch I liked this movie and I thought that it looks very good. I was wondering why does it looks so good and not digital fake, as some of the contemporary movies look like (I don't really understand why...not because they are shot on digital, there are movies shot on digital that look very good, great...maybe one of the reasons is because of too much CGI, or maybe poor CGI). I didn't think this film looked like a small-scale, "low budget" film (if that is what you meant). I look forward to watch again this movie.
Dan, did you like some of the other "Alien" movies? Which of them do you think is the best?

I went for a 4Dmax experience, and I have to say I did enjoy how the whole package came. The visual effects are top-of-notch, and how the motion connections are so smooth, but that's all, the story is very weak and almost predictable, and the final boss almost gives me a deja vu of Prometheus. Maybe, the aliens can parasite in the robot AI too, which creates a Robot alien that looks like a human...?
