I am currently writing a screenplay for a fantasy adventure show and I will also be taking a crack at converting it to comicbook script. Haha I can't drawn at all. I'm all writer.

Hi Maurice Vaughan , I have written three comics, Earthsons, The Dark Labyrinth and Paper People. If you look up National Press Comics it has some of my stuff on there. I also edited some video game texts and if you’ve ever seen those non-stop pop up ads for the game Gardenscapes while playing a mobile phone game, I named that game, haha! That was a few years ago and have done a few odds and ends since then. I wrote a joke Harry Potter crackfic and it got popular on the internet and people made YouTube videos reading it and reaction videos. It even ended up mentioned in some book in the Princeton library.. I won’t share because it’s terrible, haha! I am mostly now just working on a draft for a comedy screenplay. I’m really enjoying writing it.

Welcome to the community, Jody Parker - you are among friends and supporters. Can you share what your comedy script is about?

Hi Sam Sokolow thanks for the warm welcome! I haven’t even written a cohesive summary yet since it’s very much in progress. Will probably be done with the first episode this weekend.

The story takes place in a dystopian future that is run by a government that forces people to be healthy. Fast food restaurants are banned, there’s TV propaganda shows that are reminiscent of 80’s after school specials. One of them shows a couple teens that drop out of school and join a gang after they illegally buy chocolate from a drifter, lol. The first episode follows a main character who’s failed two weighs-ins that are mandated by the government, and if he fails again he’s going off to “health camp”. I don’t want to bombard you with a whole wall of text since there’s a lot more to the story, haha. It’s kinda like a mix between The Good Place and 1984.

Your show sounds incredible, Jody Parker! I'd definitely watch it!
