It’s been awhile since I was on here but I recently had my first pitch meeting with a MAJOR streaming service. I pitched multiple tv shows/movies. Meeting was casual and very positive. The company is now going over all the pitch decks/scripts/treatments/summaries I left them with. It’s been about a month since we met. This is teaching me a lot about patience lol. Hopefully I will hear something soon. I still have 8 more tv shows/movies to pitch to them and 1 more to another streaming network.

Nothing worse than being a prolific creator then having to wait for feedback... I suggest you get on with another project or keep pitching to more people and keep the momentum up! Best of luck!

Thank you Rebecca. I am. I have another meeting coming up with a production company that works with Netflix/Discover/Amazon etc. You are right though. Have to keep the momentum going.

That's impressive.... 8, hot damn. I am trying to put together my first pitch, but have 5 feature scripts to potentially pitch.

Welcome back Bill Lonero! For better or worse, patience is very much a virtue in this part of the process. Stay focused on your current work, keep a positive attitude, follow up if/when able and I'm sure the feedback will arrive.

Patience ain't just a virtue. It's the name of the game. There's a lot of waiting in this industry, until there isn't! Great to hear you've had a positive experience and seem set up to go on a roll with 8 more scripts -- sheeeeeeeeeeeeesssshhhhh

you should never ever pitch anybody multiple multiple projects in one meeting. no one is taking or reading 8 of your ideas. you choose 1 that's right for them, you have 1-2 backups. if you get a yes, you end the meeting and say thank you. don't keep pitching!

Danny - that’s what he requested for the pitch. Thanks

Great to hear it was a positive experience. Yes its true the bigger the company the slower they tend to get back to you, but when you consider they're reading several of your projects as well as loads from other people pitching them you can understand why! When you send them a follow-up email its good to be mindful of this, they'll certainly appreciate it.

Remember that it takes a while before you get that big request. I get sad when I look at all my pass rejections but I just remember to remind myself that everything takes time.

Correction. It takes time, a good team behind you, and a well packaged project.
