Hello. My name is Kristen. I am a brand new voice over actress. I started voice acting in January 2012 and already have been cast into about 10 projects. I would love to connect with other voice over artists. :)
Hello Kristen, I am an actor (mostly theatre) in the Boston, MA area and have been a voice-over actor for over 30 years. Welcome to the profession. 10 projects since January is quite impressive. Keep up the good work.
Hi everyone, I have been on stage 32 a bit and just connected with the Voice Over post. I am exploring VO with my videos any one recommend a reference to build my skills?
youtube has some great VO tutorials. you can learn almost anything on youtube. just go to youtube and search voiceover tutorials, or something similar. use your strengths. you can google Voiceover Scripts to find something to record. record with a good mic. and make yourself a reel. then, you can go to http://fiverr.com and offer your services for $5 bucks to gain experience and get some real world samples for your reel. once you have a reel you feel comfortable with, start getting it out in front of the people you want to work for
Oh hello everyone! I didn't think that my post would get this far. :D Another great place to learn and get some practice scripts to work with is EdgeStudio.com. They also have a lot of free information and tips on voice acting. They also offer real acting classes either online (via Skype, etc) or in person at one of their on-location studios. You have to sign up to use their scripts and other services, but it's completely free to sign up! And they don't ask for any payment information.

I just started making my reel the other day. I've done a few things but only recently decided to start promoting my VO talents
