SYNOPSIS:

SKY-HIGH is the hottest band in the country. Top of the charts since the release of their first album six years ago, they’re at the end of a successful concert tour. So, when Skyler Hightower, the band’s charismatic leader announces he’s suddenly quitting, Zak, Blake and Matt—the rest of the group—obviously want to know why. So do disappointed fans. So does Erica, the band’s manager. But Skyler won’t tell. And when arguments between the guys go public, SKY-HIGH looks for a scheme to spin the breakup in a positive way. The answer: hold a contest. Winner gets a week in their hometown with the band ending with SKY-HIGH’s final concert performance. Fans everywhere stage sign-up events, vying for a chance to be part of history. The winner is chosen live on MTV. She resides not in Las Vegas, Nevada, but tiny Las Vegas, New Mexico, the “Green Chile Capitol of the World.” Knowing that performing in a big city would be a lot more profitable – and more entertaining for the band, Erica secretly tries to scare the Mayor out of allowing the event to take place. But thanks to some free pancakes and sausage, her plan doesn’t work and the band arrives to sample a simple life they’re not used to. Embracing the small town hospitality, most of the guys begin to relax and enjoy the place, even learning about raising long green chile peppers. The town enjoys the band and the media attention it suddenly receives. During a meet and greet, Skyler has an accident. He’s rushed to the town’s hospital where he must face his estranged father, who’s been trying to explain the truth about his past so Skyler can see how its’ affecting his future.. With secrets revealed, friendships questioned, agreements challenged, relationships growing and a historic concert to take place, it’s amazing how so many big things can happen in one tiny town. SKY IS FALLING is a comedy with a serious side. It has the broad audience appeal of ALMOST FAMOUS. A marketable soundtrack and faux SKY-HIGH fan items would only augment its’ success.
