When 70-year-old Mary moves into an assisted-living facility, she vows to break the mean girl dynamics that dominate the social scene, often with comedic results, but when Mary discovers residents are being exploited by the company being paid to take care of them, she must join forces with her former adversaries to confront larger issues of elder care.
SYNOPSIS:
Shady Glen resident Phoebe’s death ushers in a series of events in the high-end assisted living facility. Former middle school teacher Mary moves into Phoebe’s former room, much to the chagrin of the quartet, the four women who rule Shady Glen’s social scene, of whom Phoebe was once a member. Mary is quickly ostracized by the group and vows to break up the clique, but her schemes for revenge are soon overshadowed by the developing drama of the facility’s new management company which may be to blame for Phoebe’s death. It’s Mean Girls meets Golden Girls meets I Care A Lot in this geriatric remix of a corporate thriller.
