LOGLINE: A young couple from California move to rural Maine to enroll their autistic daughter
in a renowned special needs school only to find themselves face-to-face with ancient evil

SYNOPSIS:

SYNOPSIS: ALISON and TYLER GRIGGS mortgage their future in order to enroll their ten year

old non-communicative daughter, FASIA, in a top-rate special needs program in Maine, with

the hope they can help her come out of her mental prison.

As they enter town in their SUV they encounter a debilitating FOG and hit a young WOMAN

hitch-hiker, who then disappears into the ether.

The Griggs move into their Civil War era rental home, which, though charming, has a weird vibe

They bring Fasia to her first day in her new school. The HEAD MISTRESS is kind and

accommodating. Fasia immediately makes real progress, but Alison senses something isn’t

quite right about the school.

Because there is no internet at the rental home, Tyler has to go to the local library to get wifi for

his business Zoom calls. He encounters an oddball LIBRARIAN and soon uncovers old

newspaper articles about the legend of a slain bride who has haunted Blackwoods Road for

the past 150 years.

Alison discovers a crate of old Civil War era photographs in the basement of the rental house,

including one of the same fateful wedding. The groom bears a striking resemblance to Tyler.

Tyler becomes obsessed with the Blackwoods Road legend, and spends all his time at the

library researching it instead of doing his job.

Tyler is fired by his BOSS on a ZOOM call.

Dejected, Tyler walks home and disappears into the fog along Blackwoods Road.

Alison calls the local SHERIFF and reports Tyler missing. Alison goes looking for her husban
