Has anyone ever auditioned via Skype? Just wondering how it went and if it seems like a viable option for long distance auditions. Often directors, like myself, are looking for someone who can play a particular character and it makes sense to expand the talent pool beyond those who can make a local audition.
I have auditioned twice on Skype. I thought it was a good experience both times and felt it afforded me opportunities I may not have been given otherwise.
I auditioned via Skype from my home in CT to PBS in Boston. Very intimate; producer/director can read the thoughts behind your eyes. I loved it and got the job. I was grateful not to have the gas expense.

LDI Casting is in E. Providence Anne Mulhall is the casting agent. Also Boston Casting and CP Casting in Boston are creditable agents.
If you join @backstage website and create a profile they provide a big list of talent reps in the area with phone numbers, email addresses and websites.
Look up actra in your area they have rep agents there. Ie alberta actra (my place). Hope that helps.
