When a fearless investigative journalist, Margaret Goodman, witnesses the shooting of a beloved Sunday school teacher, it wreaks havoc in a close-knit community. Her pursuit of the truth exposes a powerful politician but puts her family’s life in imminent danger.
SYNOPSIS:
When journalist Margaret Goodman secretly prepares to meet her source to help her with her investigation of drugs and crime in the community, her teenage son Grayson encounters his beloved Sunday school teacher, Christian. Moments later, the timid Grayson and Margaret witness Christian being shot by a shadowy figure near a dark alley. Margaret and Grayson embark on a life-changing journey to find the truth behind the crime.
The town’s faith-based community is grateful that the comatose Christian may recover from his wounds. But Margaret suspects a prominent affluent family that has ties to politics, is somehow connected to the shooting. Margaret enlists the help of her husband, police Detective Lucias Goodman, which causes tension in their marriage. Nevertheless, their investigation uncovers evidence implicating someone possibly connected to family. As they announce their findings, a mysterious motorcyclist throws a Molotov cocktail, causing havoc at the announcement.
Christian awakens from the coma. Grayson is overcome with joy as he goes to visit his teacher at the hospital. Christian shares with Grayson the reason he believes he was targeted. The reunion is cut short when thugs approach and Grayson is forced to hide as things take a dramatic turn.
Grayson validates the evidence his mother has discovered. Their only hope is to find the original shooter and get him to reveal who is behind the plot. The police conduct a raid and arrest the shooter as he hides at a family member’s home. The shooter works with the police, and they arrest the lead patriarch of the Lestin family and respected secretary of education in Haiti, Michel Lestin.
Margaret and Grayson go out to celebrate, but danger lurks around the corner that will change Margaret and Grayson’s lives forever.
