About Wilson

Mr. Wilson Ufuoma Okoroluwa is a filmmaker, visual film editor, scriptwriter, script supervisior, cinematographer, documentarian, and also a journalist. He hails from the Niger-Delta Oil Producing Area of Delta State, Nigeria, with a vision to promote entertainment by exploring film to the world.

Being relatively young and living in a media-centric region of the world, movies and television have had a significant impact on nearly every aspect of my life and continue to do so. I have crammed my time with work experience during the past few years outside of school, which has improved my understanding of and exposure to film.

However, working as a runner for a production company was my most cherished job experience. I've gained filmmaking skills from advising consumers on which movies to watch, and these skills will come in handy when I start networking with others in the industry in the Professional Practice area of the world.

Making my own feature and short films allowed me to learn a lot of the technical aspects of filmmaking. I was hired by a corporation to edit a promotional video since my self-taught talents were recognized. I had my first taste of working for a paying client through this assignment, and I learned about the sacrifices artists must make in order to meet the demands of their financial sponsors.

Prior to that, I started to get the itch to direct and write screenplays for projects, where I also edited the video. My work as Chief Editor gave me a taste for directing and significantly enhanced my time management abilities. I was in charge of making sure that all video and materials were compiled and edited to completion.

I also hope that I will be able to work on various projects with other directors. I am determined to take advantage of any chance that comes my way, not only because I want to do all in my power to make sure my goal comes true, but also because I feel obligated to make the most of my time as a filmmaker since I am the first member of my family to do so.

Thanks
