Rick Mclean: Producer and screenwriter in Vancouver, Canada.

I have so many ideas to make into short scenes but I've never wrote a scene in my life. I'm taking a basic screenwriting class tomorrow. Any helpful advice?

While I have the utmost respect, appreciation and love for the incredible talent and vision of Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Terrence Winter and all the amazing people involved with "The Wolf of Wall Street," I just can't get past the subject matter. It's so abhorrent! From an intellectual standpoint, I get it! I do. I understand that this is a cautionary tale, that they are "indicting" the horrible behavior of these Wall Street hedonists, but.... I really don't care to spend 3 hours with these characters. Plus, I've grown so weary of this sexist and objectifying portrayal of women -- completely understanding that this portrayal is true to the reality of this particular story. So, sorry, Scorsese, you lost me on this one.... but, I'm still a fan! :)
