Several seemingly unrelated people come together to bring awareness and find a cure for prostate cancer.

SYNOPSIS:

Synopsis:

A wild pool party is happening at the mansion of TERRY COLORS (25), running back for the Atlanta Falcons. In attendance are his older sister, TOYA (31), and her friends PENELOPE (28) and TWYLA (32), who is an anchor on the local news. The party goes on late into the night, and everyone wakes up hungover the next morning. Terry and Twyla have an awkward exchange in the shower, but Terry is late for practice and hustles out of there. He arrives at practice to find out that the Falcons have traded one of his best friends on the team for another more experienced running back, TITUS GODSPEED, to provide some competition and perhaps to ultimately take over Terry’s spot as the team’s starting running back.

Up in Maryland, HENRY LANG (40) works at a tech corporation. He’s paranoid that his wife might be having an affair. His wife, SOPHIE LANG (37), is in a conference room with DR. TWELVE (39 and very handsome), meeting with the board of directors about getting funding for a cancer treatment they’re working on. The board is eager to give the funding, but since both of them are people of color, the board wants them to add a couple of white doctors they’re comfortable with to guarantee the funding.

Meanwhile, PRESIDENT HUDSON L. RANDELL (early 60s) is having a difficult time urinating. He’s in a lot of pain and notices blood in his urine. His wife OLIVIA enters, and he tries to keep his issue a secret from her. One of his longtime friends, AGENT ROMAN WINSLOW, who also happens to be his personal secret service escort, is the only one that President Randell feels comfortable telling about it. They served together in Vietnam, so the president doesn’t even have a level of comfort with his wife.

Winslow knows Sophie, as the two of them had an issue in the past that Winslow continues to hold over her for her to do his bidding. They have a clandestine meeting with the president in which she gets urine and blood samples from him that she takes to a urologist, DR. MOTZ. As she’s dropping the sample off there, Terry also comes into to office, as he’s just noticed that he’s having trouble urinating, and the Falcons’ team doctor referred him here. Terry and Sophie exchange pleasantries.

Sophie’s sister REMI is a former straight-A student who is now a regular weed smoker. Sophie has tested some of it and realized that there could be a chemical reaction that can break down cancer cells. She reports this to Dr. Twelve, who thinks that it could be a breakthrough that would take away their requirement of funding from the board, so they vow to test further.

Dr. Motz informs Agent Winslow that the president has Stage 4 prostate cancer. The same day, he informs Terry that he also has prostate cancer, but his cancer is only Stage 1. Terry takes the news hard because he’s only in his 20s and his sister, who was also Toya’s twin, died of ovarian cancer years earlier. He misses a game against the Washington Redskins, who happen to be the president’s favorite team, inciting a mean tweet from the president, questioning Terry’s heart and toughness.

Toya, who is a type-A hyper-motivated person, has shifted her high-rolling career to form a non-profit cancer awareness organization. Twyla convinces Terry to tell his story on the news with Toya so that they can bring awareness and hopefully encourage other men to get tested early. During the interview, Terry is told of the president’s tweet and graciously plays it off. The president sees the interview and vows to change his tune and work with Terry and Toya’s organization.

They also recruit Sophie and Dr. Twelve, who use their discovery to create the breakthrough treatment they’ve been working on. It’s too late for President Randell, who passes away, but Terry, who caught it early, is able to achieve remission. The nonprofit is a success, and Terry is back with the team for the playoffs, scoring a touchdown on the opening kickoff in his first game back.
