A Veteran's Homeless shelter fills with hope and tragedy during the lonely holidays in Los Angeles.
SYNOPSIS:
Two Green Berets hump through the bush with their Monteagnards they settle in their ambush position. In walks the enemy. Shots are fired men return to their base camp. CHRIS, 24, A young strong-willed African-American Stass Sergeant hurries from one Helicopter to the other to take care of his new bride and see her on the plane home after his rotation. BRYAN, 23, his trusted partner and friend must investigate a growing situation in the hootch.
Chris arrives back in Saigon to his loving wife, HAN, 19, while Bryan arrives to a disaster, as another Green Beret finds himself in a bind as the Agents grab one of his Montagnards and take him to the river for an execution. Brayn tries to intercept but without back up he is left to clean up the limp body and trouble behind the bush. Chris is put on orders and is forced to leave Han behind, while Bryan is forced to return stained with blood from the war. Chris loses track of Han when Saigon falls and Bryan finds himself at the wrong place at the wrong time and is sentenced for the accidental death of a man he only tried to help.
It's Thanksgiving 2008 and Chris has put the war behind while trying to help others do so themselves. Bryan is stricken with cancer and decides to head west to watch the sunset. He checks into The home SALVATION for Veterans. There he finds his old partner and they catch up. Both still carry the scars hidden many decades earlier, while fresh scars arrive. They fight through tragedy and the holidays never giving up as come Christmas they are gifted with the reward of friendship and lost love.
