A little confused here ... did you write 18 scripts in 3 years? A trilogy is 3, so 6 trilogies gets you a total of 18. Are they features? TV episodes? Genre? Impressive feat !

Lindbergh E Hollingsworth, they are not eighteen scripts. It's not six scripts I collected, it started with three movies and three short films, and they are in order. When I said three years, it means I didn't have time with the scripts full time, I was in college, and I had to focus on my studies before I had my free time, and I used to get writer's block and it a lot of stuff that is going on during that moment. I wish I had carried eighteen scripts in high school in the 10s. Is it a feature? It's a Horror, Dark Fantasy, Drama, Action, Adventure, Mystery, and a little bit of Comedy. It's impressive to me, but I don't know about you guys.

It's like that for me sometimes, Paulo Tullie. I don't know what your query letters look like -- or your pitching -- but if you work on those, you might get more script requests.

When I switched up my query letters and pitching, I got more script requests. Hope this helps.

I concur. I just keeping doing what I do because I enjoy it. I just accept it as part of the business you'll get a lot nos and sometimes you don't hear back. I just move on.

This is all part of the process. You can hear a million nos before a yes. You just never know when that yes is coming. Stay positive!

Because everyone will speak of personal experience around this stuff, I'll just throw some metrics (I read about other say how much it took to "make it")...so it's approx. 10 years in writing and approx. 2-3 specs a year...If you have trouble getting around this discipline, I recommend mountain climbing...you'll see the commons...

Hi Luca, I want to say thank you. Getting rejections is hard, and I am new to this Stage 32. But I will not stop writing my screenplay and stories. I am not a quitter, and I am not stopping.

Hi Paulo! I'd say it's not impossible but extremely rare to "make it" as a screenwriter these days just doing screenwriting. You most likely have to also be an actor, producer, and/or director. Go onto IMDB and look at the people the agents and managers you are querying represent: most of them are probably actors, producers, and/or directors who also write scripts. This is not to be discouraging - it's just the reality. You look young enough to still have time to delve into one of the other entertainment-related crafts so don't give up! It helps, though, to know exactly what you are up against and why these agents and managers rejected you so fast. Do not take it as a comment on the quality of your work. Just put yourself in their shoes: you have 20 other clients at the moment, most of whom have active projects going on via their acting or directing work. You're interested in reading their scripts because they have already broken into the industry and hence it will be easier to get their scripts sold and made.
