SYNOPSIS:
For Charlie Martucci, school was nearly finished. It had been a long, hard four years, and Charlie was anxious to graduate and get on with his teaching career. But fate was to step into Charlie Martucci's life and plant a seed that would impact his life forever. Charlie and his friends wanted one last party to celebrate the end of college. To raise the money for such a social gathering, they visited the local sperm bank. It was there that Charlie fell in love with a girl in a calendar, and it was on that day that he set in motion a whirlwind of circumstances. Shortly after college, Charlie falls in love and marries Sarina, an old high school sweetheart. Fifteen years later, she is involved in a car accident and dies in Charlie's arms. Charlie is devastated. The one true love of his life is gone. Since there are so many haunting memories in Brooklyn, New York, Charlie decides to get as far away as possible. He and his father, Gino, pack up their belongings and move to Carlsbad, California. Charlie has no trouble finding a teaching job, and soon develops an interest in one of his students by the name of Tony Lorenzo. Tony has leukemia and requires special help, and it is Charlie who, in his spare time, provides much of that help. He soon meets and falls in love with Tony's mother, Meagan Lorenzo. It is only their second date, when a crisis develops. Tony needs a bone marrow transplant from the perfect donor soon or he will die. Out of desperation, Charlie has his blood tested and soon discovers he is the perfect match. The operation is a success, and Tony's life is saved. In the end, Charlie learns that he is Tony's father, and Meagan is the calendar girl.
