SYNOPSIS:
Harlan Steelman found his way through most every bedroom and barroom door in the county. In fact, it has been said there are not many bedposts that had not been graced with Harlan Steelman’s black ten-gallon hat. When he is killed in a fiery car crash, Laura Steelman, his widow, is stunned and, yet, somewhat relieved. Then, Harrison Bentley, an old college friend of Harlan, walks into her life. They soon fall in love, and for the first time in her life, Laura feels that things are finally going her way. But her troubles are just beginning. Someone is trying to kill her. Two narrow escapes drive her into a frenzy to find her would-be killer. Her suspicions turn to Harrison, who is, seemingly, possessed by the spirit of Harlan. Everyday he becomes more and more like Harlan. Or, did Harlan survive the accident and is now stalking her?
