A Die Hard scenario with I imagine actor Rafael L. Silva in the lead role, and must fight villains to save hostages, but also siblings he is taking care of. Plus, like Silva his character is LBGT. The title is in works and is willing to discuss a good title with anyone who is interested in this one. 

SYNOPSIS:

Hector Octavio (Rafael L. Silva) is an everyman who is tasked with taking care of his younger siblings, but has been hounded by neighbors who want the children removed due to the fact that he is gay and the neighbor Ms. Galligan is a religious fanatic, but has annoyed her neighbors with her obsession. While visiting a Christmas party with the kids at the local mall in hopes of getting a new job a group of heavily armed terrorist led by a man named Lamont Strack their goal is to extract the money from the mall’s owner Harold Jamison and then fake their deaths in an explosion and flee. Hector manages to escape unnoticed and tries to alert the police but one of the security guards Nick Ricketts betrays them and calls off the red alert but a Black and White is sent to investigate. Then officer Dan Cooper finds nothing wrong, but Hector throws a chair and fights a terrorist and throws him out and backup is called in. Hector manages to speak to Dan and fights the terrorist that come after him. Ricketts finds out it is Hector and tells Strack who he is but knows nothing of the kids Hector is looking after.

The cops find out who Hector is, and Dan continues to talk to him, and admits he killed a kid years ago: the kid was pulling a prank on his neighbor, and they planned to have a friend dressed as a cop appear and killed the real cops showed up and it went downhill. Hector finds out Strack’s plans and tries to alert everyone, but Strack’s right hand man Brolly finds him, and they fight, while Strack finds out who Hector is and the identities of the kids and takes them hostage, Hector seemingly defeats Brolly and alerts the hostages and they escape while Hector goes to rescue the kids, and fights and kills Ricketts.

Hector confronts and kills the remaining henchmen and confronts Stack, and in the final fight Hector reluctantly kills Strack and saves the kids and Jamison, outside Galligan tries to take them but a grateful Jamison and others stop her, and he meets Dan, Brolly appears and tries to kill him but is killed by Dan. Jamison gives Hector a job and shuts down Galligan’s crusade, and Hector begins a relationship with a new boyfriend.
