I saw this in a dream, Ricky Bowen (Joshua Bassett) was shielding Nini Salazar-Roberts (Olivia Rodrigo) and then they were sitting down, and watching emergency lights go by and I think Ricky was protecting Nini from something. So I think the following might happened: 

SYNOPSIS:

Ricky finds out something had happened to Nini and he realizes she means more to him then anything, so he breaks things off with Gina (Sofia Wylie) deciding they are not right for each other and heads to California to help her, and one of the following happens (some are homage to LMN movies):

1. Ricky finds out Nini had fallen in with a bad crowd, and finding new friends find her at a party where the drinks are spiked and she ends up endanger and Ricky saves her then discover they had slipped Nini other control substances to work on her music and with the new friends helps her realize how negative and toxic the crowd is and through their shared love of music Ricky helps Nini break the addiction and remind her of why she writes songs. Then some bad people the group owe money to comes for them, and Ricky and Nini expose them.

2. Ricky meets up with Nini's family learning she is missing. After making some new friends and working with cops and her family find she was kidnapped by a human trafficking ring, and working together save her. Then using their shared love of music Ricky helps Nini overcome her trauma and when the ring comes for her they manage to defeat them and they end up arrested.

Then it all comes down to Ricky must chose between going back to Salt Lake City with or without Nini, or staying in California to help her in her music career as people now want to sign Nini only if Ricky joins her. Plus during their ordeal Ricky and Nini end up befriending a group of troubled at-risk street kids and decides to begin a program to help stir them from gang life, and decides to stay in California with Nini.

I know this can be a good storyline and I hope you could all help me get it to the writers of the series, and I could help them make it a script.
