A horror anthology where a writer tells his boss a different story. 

SYNOPSIS:

JITTERS

Aspiring writers Jack Farrell and his wife Laura visit their publisher Abel Markinson and they tell him of some very strange tales.

A high school teenager Kurt Manning and rival Greg Simon take a bet to stay in a haunted field overnight and joining them are girlfriends Jennifer Mallow and Lysette Gates. According to the legend a family was massacred by an unknown killer, no one was found and there were no suspects, they spend the night trying to outdo the other, and as midnight approaches, they learn that the scarecrow is alive and has begun to stalk them. They run into the ghost of a the family who lived there, and they reveal the truth: years ago they fired a hired hand named Layton Everett (James Landry Hebert) for trouble he caused around town and he was so angry he found a spell book and used it to implant his soul into the Scarecrow and swore revenge killing the family, and promising to kill all those who trespass on the farmland which he views as his property. The rivals work together to evade the killer, but Kurt decides to try to stop Layton and end the curse which can be broken by destroying the book, and working together they find the book, but Layton won’t let them leave and while in a fight Lysette and Jennifer destroy the book and end the curse and Layton dissolves. They call the bet off and return home for a good night’s sleep.

High School teens Alex Tanning and Lucy Solanas visit a Lake Party, and soon find themselves stalked by an evil clown named Jockey, Alex and Lucy learn that Jockey was once a an ordinary circus/carnival entertainer named Hamilton Peck when his boss ran off with his wife and money, furious the already unbalanced Peck found a spell book and turned himself into an evil clown named Jockey, tracked them down and killed them and now roams killing those around him. Realizing that they are marked, Alex and Lucy learn the only way to kill Jockey is to strike him in the heart where he had given away in order to lose his feelings, in the fight Alex manages to trick Jockey and is stabbed in the heart and killed. The ordeal over, Alex and Lucy become a couple and begin to date.

Aspiring singer Ethan Scott and his girlfriend/partner Maya Vincent are travelling the countryside when they run into a storm and stop at an old inn, they soon find the inn is run by feuding vampires Armand Dessaro and Manson Galeton and the two are pursued by them in a contest they hold. The then meet a young man named Tony Delano and reunite with their old friend Michelle Vega and learn Tony is a werewolf wanting to kill the vampire rivals for killing his pack year ago, helping Tony they kill Armand first then Manson and with the danger passed Ethan and Maya arrive to the concert while Michelle leaves with Tony as they have become lovers.

The stories finished Abel choses to pass on it, then secretly attempts to sell it to Jack’s rival Gavin Drew a wealthy “writer” who buys stories from Abel and takes credit for them as Abel claims ownership to Jack and Laura’s writings and sells them to Gavin as he is more popular and pays more. But on the way home an auto accident puts them in the hospital followed by mysterious bad luck, and in the process Abel and Gavin’s scheme is exposed and Gavin is outed as a fraud with Abel ruined. It is then revealed that the experiences in Jack and Laura’s story are true and were with the “Characters” based on real people they worked with. They become wealthy and famous when it is revealed that Gavin bought their other stories and allow their recent one, (the previous mentioned story) is made into a movie called “Jitters” and they invite their friends revealing that the original manuscript was enchanted so if Abel and Gavin tried to steal it, they would have bad luck and be ruined. The people they met appear in the film as “fictional” versions of themselves and enjoy a party afterwards.
