An ex-soldier turned Capitol Policeman must battle militia terrorist with the President of the United States and his opponent in a motel during a political debate during an election.
SYNOPSIS:
NATION MUST RISE
Greg Archer is a former solider turned Capitol Policeman and is transferred to security at a popular DC motel where a political debate is held for the Presidential election. The current President is Republican James Church and the opponent is Democrat Thomas Wood, and at the debate one of the Secret Service Joseph Baines sends Greg and others to the basement area for a sweep, then during the debate a militia group takes over with help from Baines and led by Lane Silver a radical anti-government activist who wants to commit an extreme extortion to fund his revolution and attempts to kill Church and Wood. Baines is secretly revealed to be a traitor but no one knows this and it is kept hidden from others Greg and the others run into a trap and they are killed but Greg survives, and escapes and locates James and Thomas and saves them and they join forces and contact Vice President Brent Simon and White House Speaker Catherine Chance work with National Security and General Matthew Todd to stop them, and Silver is identified and how they got in. Greg, James and Thomas manage to make it downstairs where they find out the families are, but Silver deducing that he plans to blow the building to cover his escape and needs James and Thomas to finish the extortion. Baines intercepts them but accidently reveals himself as a traitor and is killed in a fight with Greg while James and Thomas inform the others of the situation. When Silver holds James and Thomas’s family's hostage, he soon learns how Greg is, and holds his wife/girlfriend Sarah Holt hostage separate. Greg gives James and Thomas a gun to use to save their families which they do and return to help Greg who confronts Silver and is forced to surrender his gun and before his hidden one is found James and Thomas shoot Silver’s men and then Greg finishes off the remaining ones and fights Silver and kills him. Greg and Sarah reunite and after surviving the situation they don’t mind who will win the election.

Hi David, the logline is a bit clunky and the repetition of the word ‘during’ should be changed. Also there’s a typo ‘militia terrorist’ should be changed to ‘a militia terrorist’ or ‘militia terrorists’.
The phrase ‘must battle militia terrorist with the President of the United States’ doesn’t scan. It sounds like the Capitol Policeman is using the President (as a weapon) to fight the terrorist(s).
