A Japanese man living in America battles villains who are targeting his people.
SYNOPSIS:
RYU: THE YANKEE SAMURAI
A year after the end of WW2, a former business man and martial artist named Ryu Yoshida is freed from an internment camp and is now looking for his wife Ari Yoshida whom he was separated from, he soon meets a former Marshall and a bounty hunter named Carl Hansen who offers to help him after seeing his fighting abilities, then they meet a man named Arnold Vogel who offers him to find Ari, and a criminal at a rally hosted by rising Senator Ian Burke who is offering to deport the Japanese for Pearl Harbor, during the rally Ryu sees a man and is shot at then shoots at Burke, Carl gets him out in time, and by making it look like a Japanese was responsible it would help Burke’s career. Vogel is revealed to be working for racist Alexander Crane who wants to ignite a plan of ethnic cleansing.
Ryu confides in Carl his dreams about a man in white but with blood coming from him, and an evil smile implicating that the man in white is evil, and his former mentor told him that it means that it is his destiny to defeat this man in a battle of good and evil, and this enemy has been having dreams of him and knows that Ryu is coming but does not know it. Meanwhile Crane has been tortured by dreams of him confronting a samurai, and they fight but it does not end, Ari who has been enslaved by Crane tells him, that the Samurai is his enemy and they will meet in a great battle, and this enemy is coming for Crane. Crane and Vogel finally find Ryu and Carl, and Ryu soon identifies Crane as his enemy, and foretells their upcoming confrontation. Crane realizes that this is the man who is coming for him, and they escape. Crane sends his men to the safe house, where they torture Carl and brag about their actions unaware it has been recorded, and Ryu airs it during a rally for Burke exposing his and Vogel’s corruption. Crane has both Burke and Vogel killed, then Ryu leads a group of Japanese into Crane’s compound and Carl reveals he is alive and has freed Ari. Ryu and Crane face each other in their final battle and Ryu kills Crane telling him that as death comes for all for people like Crane, a man with only hate and kills to satisfy his pride, it will be worst as it will have no honor and no meaning.
Ryu and Ari are reunited and continue to work with Carl, and Ryu is nicknamed the Yankee Samurai.
