While protecting South Korea from the invading forces of North Korea, a sergeant and his
patrolmen discover a prostitution and spy ring deep within the demilitarized zone.
SYNOPSIS:
It is 1985. In South Korea, a patrol truck pulls out of the tactical operations center within the
demilitarized zone (the DMZ TOC) and it heads toward Warrior Base. Sergeant MARK HEATH
can hear sirens, and so he tells his patrol to stay alert. Upon their arrival at Warrior Base, Platoon
Sergeant SFC MEDFORD orders Heath and his patrol to join the rest of the company. The sky is
electrified with impact flashes from the north and American artillery from the south.
Heath and his platoon, Purple Three Patrol, are told that their mission is to hold their position as
long as they can, and to engage the North Korean threat. The Republic of South Korea’s tanks
move toward the joint security area, and Black Hawks fly across the Imjingang River.
They are already for war, but they are outgunned twelve to one.
With Heath driving the lead gun Jeep, the platoon heads northward. Earlier that morning, they're told,
the North Koreans started to move five tank divisions. They moved them to within four hundred meters of the Panmunjom area and the U.S. sector of the demilitarized zone.
Current estimates indicate that four thousand North Korean tanks are poised to travel south for a possible
invasion.
