A hard-hearted NY chef must team up with a free-spirited cook to win a peculiar cooking contest not knowing the clash of their perspective on love and life will forever spice things up.
SYNOPSIS:
My writing partner (Ferdinand Gernandt) and I developed this PG-rated, full feature, romantic comedy LOVE BITES based on universal topics I think are important to address - the pandemic, an illness (endometriosis), displacement, searching for love, how food can bring us together (even in hard times). We have received a recommend from script coverage (Extremescreenwriting).
LOVE BITES is about - RYAN, A hard-hearted NY chef who must team up with MAYA, a free-spirited cook to win a peculiar cooking contest not knowing the clash of their perspectives on love and life will forever spice things up.
Fighting the after-effects of endometriosis, MAYA is a creative coming face to face with her biggest fears - she doesn't deserve love and lacks the courage to explore her talents of writing and photography.
Always striving to be the best in the biz, RYAN is reluctant to listen to his heart and embrace the fact that he also needs love.
When falling in love, a Chef and vegan cook need a feast so grand - it'll make vegans cheat and carnivores bland.
Hot-headed chef Ryan and free-spirited vegan cook Maya, find themselves in dire straits when a pandemic hits and these two rivals lose their jobs. A mutual friend's proposal to participate in an unorthodox cooking contest sends their hunger for survival and money off the charts...
... they did not know they'll have to team up together and ultimately bring love and desire to the kitchen.
As they struggle together to create colorful, online cooking shows that touch the heart of many, Ryan and Maya's love for traditional food, music, and cultural roots, forces them to break their own rules and unwillingly unveil the belief that love is career suicide and the scars of illness will chomp away at one's future.
Do they have the stomach to embrace the taste for love and kick a hundred thousand dollars to the curb?
