In the battle against Communism, faith will emerge as the driving force.
A Romanian student activist for freedom, Petru, lives in limited circumstances
packed with everyday frustrations - the sad history of his relationship with
his late priest father, cryptic truths written in a red notebook revealing the
crimes of Communism, and an uncertain romance with a ballet dancer. Through
secret freedom parties, he dreams to escape to France and free Romanian people
from the oppression...
... But his unfair imprisonment stunts his noble mission.
Petru navigates brutal prison life and a violent Communist colonel who inflicts
despicable methods of torture to reeducate him and crush his girlfriend's
career. Struggling between the real and unreal, Petru learns the red notebook

oppression.
