After a group of billionaires inadvertently cause the destruction of all mankind on Earth, two idealistically divergent young people escape an imperiled space station and return to Earth to become the surviving remnant to reboot the human population.

SYNOPSIS:

A private group of multi-billionaires meets and determines that the world’s over-population situation is extremely serious and if not stopped, and will imperil the entire Earth. Thus, they agree on a plan:

A deadly man-made virus, intended to reduce the world’s population by killing off the weakest individuals pursuant to Darwin’s “Survival of the Fittest” theory, is to be released. Selected individuals and those who are extraordinarily physically fit and healthy will survive, either due to a special vaccine or superior genetics.

A test program is run at the 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan, China, to observe the global spread and control of a virus, using a SAARS virus.

But, the new virus cannot be released until a suitable vaccine is developed. Once the vaccine is developed and distributed to the selected few, the virus is released at the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Australia.

However, the new virus unexpectedly mutates and the resulting pandemic spreads across the earth, killing not just the weak, but everyone it touched, including those who were vaccinated.

The Global Government of Nations (GGN) is established as a result of the rapid spread of the OMEGA virus, collapse of many national governments, and subsequent dissolution of the United Nations. The space station Tabula Rasa is constructed to house 548 uncontaminated humans (102 adults and 446 laboratory created children) just before the OMEGA pandemic wipes out all of humankind.

Act I

The first part of the story takes place on the space station Tabula Rasa twenty years later. When an asteroid strikes the space station, destroying it, two teenagers, A157 and T285, escape in a Personnel Orbital Delivery Vehicle (PODV) and return to Earth.

Act II

The film tracks A157 (Adam) and T285 (Eve) as they attempt to survive, alone and isolated on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Their premature return to Earth forces them to use their basic instincts to survive. Adam and Eve attempt to track down a rumored vaccine for the deadly OMEGA virus. They don’t find the vaccine, but instead, they discover each other and also the ugly truth behind the OMEGA virus, its link to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the private organization – the Good Club – that was behind the entire catastrophe.

Act III

After they are comfortably situated in their new environment, they discover one more thing – that they are not alone.

This film includes elements of sci-fi, suspense, and drama, and should appeal to the same audiences that enjoyed The Martian (2015) and Gravity (2013) (concerning peril in space); Outbreak (1995) and Contagion (2011) (regarding a lethal viral pandemic); and I am Legend (2007) (concerning survival on a post-apocalyptic Earth). This film is unique in that it examines the issue of attempting to manage overpopulation through the use of an intentionally released lethal man-made virus.
