The community on the Moon is an ideal place to live, and although she’s always wanted to live in Moon Colony, can this Earthling survive that kind of perfection?
SYNOPSIS:
Nati is always getting into trouble. She’s been married to Moon born Hent, for three years and yet his parents still cannot seem to accept her. Things are different where she grew up, and making little mistakes that blow up in her face is the norm. Nati was a teacher on Earth, however, it took two years for a job to open up and after one year of teaching, she’s let her go. Now, working at a job that doesn’t fulfill her, Nati becomes restless. Nati and Hent’s best friends are a couple with children, Dotty-Lynn and Gar. When Gar and Dotty decide to move to Mars, where there are more opportunities, Nati wants to follow. Hent refuses to leave Moon Colony. Nati gives up trying to convince him, until she gets in trouble for “booting,” something potentially dangerous, but fun.
Nati, secretly applies for jobs for both her and Hent on Mars. The work is plentiful on Mars, so they both are able to attain great jobs. When Nati tells Hent, he is outraged that she went behind his back. They break up, so Nati ends up staying at Dotty and Gar’s home. She begins plans to go with them to Mars without her husband. Hent starts dating his old flame, Lace. Nati starts to question her self. She realizes that she misses her husband, and she wants to get back with him. Gar encourages Hent to get back with Nati and move to Mars with them. Hent won’t have it. Nati decides to stay and try to win Hent back. It doesn’t work. Nati begins to believe that she was just a rebound, and that Hent will finally get the wife and the life he deserves. The ship is about to take off. Nati sadly gets on the ship with her friends. Hent is with Lace in a coffee shop, trying to listen to her. He keeps looking at his watch, and finally he gets up and leaves. He hitches a ride to the shipping dock, pretends to be there to fix a problem, stows away on the ship, finds Nati and confesses that he can’t let her go. They soon find out that they had both questioned their marriage from the beginning. Now they realize that they really belong together. Nati wants to turn tail and go back to Moon Colony to accommodate Hent. Hent, however, had already decided before he stepped on the ship, that he was going to make a life on Mars with his wife. In the end, they both laugh at how their perspective positions have been upended.
