A disgraced FBI agent turned podcaster stumbles into the crosshairs of the Serial Killers Klub, a dark web syndicate of sadistic murderers who turn his life into a deadly game, forcing him and his misfit team to outwit an unseen enemy that’s always one step ahead—until a retired partner joins the fight to unravel their shadowy empire before it claims them all.
SYNOPSIS:
Exavier Thomas, a washed-up ex-FBI profiler clinging to relevance through his gritty podcast, answers a call that changes everything: a distorted voice whispers of the Serial Killers Klub (SKK), a dark web network where killers compete in a chilling game of death. When a cryptic link reveals a live execution—and his own face on their hit list—Exavier’s world implodes. Dragging his crew of overweight tech misfits—Milo, a paranoid hacker, and Tina, a fierce mom haunted by threats to her son—into the fray, he digs deeper, only to find the SKK already inside his life, watching, waiting. The FBI dismisses his pleas, leaving him exposed as the Klub’s taunts escalate: dolls with gouged eyes, hacked feeds of his team sleeping, a timer ticking to a massacre. Cornered and desperate, Exavier lures his grizzled ex-partner, Ray Callahan, out of retirement, igniting a nerve-shredding war against a faceless enemy that strikes from the shadows.
Every step closer to The Curator, the SKK’s phantom mastermind, tightens the noose—hallucinations blur reality, safe havens burn, and betrayal lurks in every ally. In a heart-pounding climax, Exavier’s team storms the Klub’s lair, racing to expose its depravity to the world before the killers silence them forever. But even as the SKK crumbles, a final whisper echoes: this game never ends.

Mark Deuce, your logline is packed with tension, urgency, and a compelling hook. A disgraced FBI agent turned podcaster going up against a secretive syndicate of serial killers is a strong, high-concept premise with clear stakes and a built-in audience appeal. The idea of a “Serial Killers Klub” operating on the dark web adds a modern and chilling twist, and the mention of a misfit team and a retired partner joining the fight helps round out the cast dynamics and suggests a strong ensemble element. That said, I’d be careful not to drift too close to the premise of Criminal Minds: Evolution, where the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI works to take down an online network of serial killers who connected on the dark web during the COVID lockdown to share resources. You’ll want to make sure your story stands out with a very unique tone, approach, or character perspective that distinguishes your narrative as something fresh and original in this space.
