Fun, original hook and all the key elements are here (protagonist, stakes, antagonist, cause), but the logline is crammed into one long sentence with too many clauses and layers of stakes. It becomes a bit confusing and the great hook (zombie killer squirrels) gets buried in the middle. Tightening the sentence, simplifying the stakes, and bringing the squirrels closer to the front would make it hit much harder.
How about: A disgraced ex-Army Ranger must unite his broken family and a band of survivors to stop zombie killer squirrels unleashed by a failed bioweapon, before their furry plague devours the world.
