A Christmas-loving librarian and a cynical Marine must overcome their differences to host a toy drive in time to save Christmas.
SYNOPSIS:
Bella, a small-town librarian and recently single, loves everything about Christmas, but her favorite part of the season is collecting donations for Toys for Tots. Inspired by receiving a snow globe from the program when she was a child in need, a cherished treasure for her, Bella has dedicated every December to successfully collecting toys and raising awareness for the program.
Logan, a Marine and Christmas cynic, needs to increase toy donations for his unit’s region or risk losing out on a promotion. Single and surly, Logan isn’t averse to the possibility of relocating should he receive the promotion. He has no roots, nothing to keep him in the area.
When Bella learns that Logan needs help in collecting toys, she’s more than ready to forego her much-needed break from spearheading community activities and lead the toy charge. Logan, a by-the-book Marine, scoffs at civilian help, until Logan’s commanding officer orders him to accept Bella’s assistance. Together, Bella and Logan devise a mini-golf event at the local Christmas Carnival to bring in donations.
Bella and Logan, along with their trusted “Misfit Toys Crew,” work together in a race against time to build holiday-themed mini-golf platforms for the carnival. As the two work together, they discover an undeniable chemistry and connection, and a deep bond is formed. An added bonus - Bella’s adorable dog loves Logan. When Bella discovers Logan is participating in the program to gain a promotion and may be leaving the area, she pulls away from him scared of getting her heart broken. Logan, mistakenly believing Bella is reuniting with her ex-boyfriend, is ready to pack up and leave - until Bella's ever faithful dog brings the two back together. While celebrating their successful toy drive event, Bella and Logan pass on a new snow globe to another child in need.
