When a hunting and trapping excursion to the sewers of the dead city goes wrong, Asea must trust a stranger claiming to be from The State to survive the gangs that rule the city.

SYNOPSIS:

After finishing repairing old comunicators, Asea meets up with her boyfriend before the hunt into the sewers in search of the giant rats that still call this post apocolyptic city home.

After a successful hunt, she is captured by the most violent of the gangs, The Dragons. While in captivity she meets The Statesman, who claims he is part of a forward expedition from the mythical lost superpower, The State.

Her boyfriend rescues her, but refuses to help the Statesmen, after all how can the trust a stranger? She gives the Statesman a lock pick set so that he may be able to save himself, the Dragons after all show no mercy.

While escaping, her boyfriend is killed in a crossfire as the gangs fight with each other, and the Statesman saves her, he needs help getting to the extraction point and she being a local should know how to get ther.

After getting to the extraction point, they find their comms gear is malfunctioning, and Asea can only fix it in her lab. They make their way their to find the gang violence has expanded and the gangs are now in control of her home, and her people are dead.

The statesman promises that if she can get him in touch with his people, she is guaranteed a spot in the state.
