Ama, a freshman at Waldo High School, is given a warning by Principal Wells, for skipping classes. Tim, Ama's adoptive father, has Ama do chores around the house that she's been lax in completing. Ama's adoptive brother, Ben-David, leaves for Arizona. Ama, while Tim is gone, has Nashae come over and in experimenting with Christine's makeup, spills base on her parent's white carpet.
