A rebellious angel is sent on a mission to help a shy college student lose his fear of love, which leads to a friendship that helps her make peace with her past and reconsider her own attitude toward love.

SYNOPSIS:

JULIA PEREZ, is an irresponsible angel, who doesn't care about anything. This includes the well-being of the humans she is assigned to protect. After her twelfth failure to watch out for her protégé (now dead), MOTHER NATURE gives her one last chance. Julia needs to prove that she is ready to pass over to the hereafter. Her next and last case is RAYMOND EVENSTONE, a handsome, but shy college student, who seems to be immune to any kind of love magic that previous angels used on him. Julia's first careless idea is to enchant women, making them try to hit on Raymond. This approach doesn't work. She decides to confront him and finds out about his emotional scars after being the "fat, little guy" in high school.

Since angels are not allowed to interact with their protégés through direct contact, Julia is banned from heaven in front of Raymond's eyes. Understanding what Julia is, Raymond offers her to help her. Julia agrees to a cooperation. Their mission: Work on Raymond's social skills to find a potential girlfriend. Julia gets to know him better and finds out about his basketball talent. Julia suggests that he should join the college team. He isn't sure about it yet. Raymond seems to get along with a fellow student named HAILEE. However, Julia and Raymond begin to develop feelings for each other. Raymond finds out, that Hailee was actually interested in Julia. Hailee sees that Julia has only eyes for Raymond and doesn't want to be in the way of their relationship.

Raymond does some research on Julia's early life and death. He finds out that her mom is still around. Raymond invites Julia over to his parents' for Thanksgiving. Raymond squeezes in a detour to Julia's old home. Julia finds peace in knowing that her mother still loves her. Julia gets to meet RAYMOND'S FAMILY. She finds out about Raymond's crush on a girl in the neighborhood through his MOTHER. Though a good friend in high school, LILI never returned his affection. His mother suspects her to be the inspiration for his decision to get in shape after high school graduation. During a night stroll, they even get to meet Lili, who is taking her DOG for a walk. Julia sees something in her that she can't be for Raymond: Alive. On that night, Raymond wants to kiss Julia. She doesn't want to kiss him.

Julia tries to avoid Raymond. Raymond is confused and asks his BEST FRIEND for advice. His friend tells him that he must show some courage. Raymond confronts Julia. He tells her, that with her, he doesn't feel insecure anymore. He kisses her. A kiss that doesn't leave Julia cold, but she tells him, that he doesn't need a woman to tell him that he is fine the way he is. Julia's ban is lifted. They have a last dance on the Christmas ball. Julia leaves. Raymond goes home for Christmas, alone again. On Christmas eve, while catching some fresh air on the front porch, Lili's dog walks up to him. Lili appears, looking for her dog. Raymond joins them on their walk home. We spot Julia watching over them.

After the Christmas holidays, we get to see that Raymond is texting with Lili, his girlfriend now. We also see him join the basketball team. Julia is there to see him play. She leaves, knowing that he's doing fine.
